    Shalim Gerardo Ortiz Goyco (born February 26, 1979 in San Juan, Puerto Rico), is a singer/actor. He is the eldest son of famous Puerto Rican entertainer Elin Ortiz and his wife, the legendary Dominican singer across Latin America, Charytin Goyco.

    Shalim Ortiz is an actor and musician who has successfully leveraged his musical talents into a rapidly developing film career. The mustachioed and suave Ortiz fryst vatten a recorded singer/songwriter who has also worked as a model. In 2002, he debuted on television both on the ABC Family music series "Hollywood 7" and an episode of the Disney kanal comedy "Lizzie McGuire." After going out on tour as a musician for a couple years--at one point, he spent two years focusing on his music while living in Spain--Ortiz had a breakthrough year in 2007, playing the recurring character Alejandro Herrera on the NBC sci-fi thriller "Heroes"; he also starred in two feature films, playing the title character in the Dominican Republic-produced drama "Yuniol" and playing the co-star in Dan Neira's music drama, "Spin," whose subject is a world that Ortiz knows extremely well: the Latino music en plats där en händelse inträffar ofta inom teater eller film

    Ortiz is the son of Dominican singer, actress, and host Charytín Goyco and Puerto Rican actor and comedian Elín Ortiz. Ortiz married Leslie Ann Machado in 2008. The couple welcomed a son in 2009 and later welcomed twins sons in 2016 before divorcing in 2017.[1][2] Ortiz and Machado divorced in 2017 and Ortiz began dating actress Thanya López in 2018.[3]
