Juliet Capulet, thirteen, passed away on Friday, July 11, 1827, in Verona. She presumably died of suicide by a dagger, but investigations show that poison was also found on her lips.
Juliet Capulet was born in Verona, Italy to Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet. Juliet was supposed to be marrying her cousin, Paris but she was secretly already married to Romeo Montague. Her parents did not know of this so they tried to force her into marrying Paris.

Virtually all marriages among people of note were arranged in this period and girls (and young men) were expected to do as they were told.
