Rubicon Theatre Company WINTERFEST To Feature Works By August Wilson and William Shakespeare
RUBICON THEATRE has announced a three-play WinterFest as part of the company's / “Dare to Dream” season.
The shows include Pulitzer Prize-winner August Wilson's TWO TRAINS RUNNING (Jan 15 – Feb. 2) in repertory with Christina Anderson's PLAY ON SHAKESPEARE translation of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS (Jan. 19 – 28), and August Wilson's autobiographical play HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED (Jan. 27).
The Plays
TWO TRAINS RUNNING
The first two plays in the festival celebrate a new collaboration between Rubicon Theatre Company and The Acting Company (TAC) of New York.
Set in , during a turbulent time in American history, August Wilson's TWO TRAINS RUNNING offers a poignant, powerful, and surprisingly funny exploration of race, identity, and the pursuit of the American Dream in a rapidly changing world.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City hosted its first Veterans Day Parade in two years on Thursday.
Roughly marching units, including bands, floats and vintage vehicles, marched up Fifth Avenue from 29th Street to 45th Street.
CBS2's John Dias caught up with the grand marshal ahead of time. Kevin Carrick is from the Long Island town of Riverhead, and served for more than two decades rescuing people in combat. He said being grand marshal was an honor.
"Representing the United States Military, the Air Force in the Big Apple is a big deal," Carrick said. "I hope I represent them well, and I'm going to be very proud to see all the kids and stuff cheering us on."
The in-person return of the nd annual parade began with a solemn wreath laying ceremony at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month at the Eternal Light Flag Staff in Madison Square Park. Every branch of the country's armed services were proudly represented.

More than 65% of the population lives on less than $2 a day, and the East African nation has been listed among the hungriest on earth by the Global Hunger Index. It is also where Sofia Przybylek 12 for the past year has been working with One Acre Fund (OAF), an agricultural development NGO to help make a difference in the lives of farmers and their families who are challenged by a severe food insecurity crisis.
As a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Lead Associate, Sofia has been supporting the uppdrag of what she describes as a meaningful organization to help make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit and agricultural training to improve harvests.
