    Nigerian musician (born 1975)

    Innocent Ujah IdibiaMON[a] (Listen; born 18 September 1975), known by his stage name 2Baba and formerly as 2Face Idibia,[2][3] is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, record producer and philanthropist known for his solo debut album, Face 2 Face.[4][b] He is regarded as one of the "most influential" and greatest Afrobeats artists of all time following his contributions to Nigerian pop music in the 2000s.[5]

    2Baba won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act in 2005.[6] In 2019, he collaborated with Cobhams Asuquo and Timi Dakolo to release a song, which raised awareness for Child's right.[7]

    2Baba was born on 18 September 1975, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, from Idoma descent from Benue State in central Nigeria.[8] He studied at Mount Saint Gabriel Secondary School in Makurdi before pursuing Business Admini

    Innocent Ujah Idibia, formerly known as 2face Idibia before changing his stage name to 2Baba, is a recording artist from Benue State, Nigeria. He was a member of the defunct R&B/hip hop group Plantashun Boiz.

    One of the most internationally recognized celebrities Nigeria has produced in years, his massively popular song African Queen was the first ever film to be played on pan African channel MTV Base. 2face was the recipient of such awards as the 2005 kanal O Best Male Music Video award and the first award given for Best African at the MTV europe Awards held in Lisbon, Portugal in November 2005.

    2face released his debut solo album, Face 2 Face in 2004, which was positively reviewed by music critics and was listed as "the greatest Nigerian debut skiva of the 21st Century by a solo artist". It was followed bygd his second album, Grass 2 Grace (2006). After that, he left Kennis Music and established his own record label, Hypertek Digital.

    2Face Idibia's Music career

    2Face's music career started right from his University days. He performed in nearly every show and party inside the school and the Enugu metropolis.

    He earned some money from composing and singing jingles at the Enugu State Broadcasting Services (ESBS) GB fan club. He did later drop out of school to pursue his music career.

    2Face moved to Lagos state with Faze (Chibuzor Orji) and Blackface (Ahmedu Augustine), and the trio formed the 'Plantashun Boiz' band. The band released 2 albums, Body and Soul and Sold Out, in 2000 and 2003, respectively.
