    Asaduddin Owaisi (born 13 May 1969) is an Indian politician and the President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). For years, he has been recognised one of the world's 500 Most Influential Muslims by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC).

    Background and Childhood

    Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi and Najmunnisa Begum gave birth to Owaisi on May 13, 1969. He is descended from a political family in Hyderabad. His grandfather, Abdul Wahed Owaisi, relaunched the political movement Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen as All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen on September 18, 1957. He succeeded Qasim Razvi as party president after his release from prison. His father, Sultan Salahuddin, was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1962.
