Salman Khan death threat: Mumbai police arrest WhatsApp message sender
A team of Mumbai police landed in Jamshedpur to trace the location of the person who allegedly sent a threat message to filmstar Salman Khan.
On October 17, the Mumbai traffic police received the message on its WhatsApp number following which officials of Worli police station in Mumbai were alerted.
East Singhbhum police sources on Tuesday said a team of Mumbai police visited three locations in Jugsalai and Bagbera areas on Monday.
"The team conducted the search based on the location of the SIM card, which was allegedly used for sending the threatening message," a police source said, confirming Mumbai police's action.

Two threatening messages were received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police, in which Rs 5 crore was demanded from actor Salman Khan. The messages warned that if Salman failed to pay, his fate would be worse than that of NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered. As per sources, the offence has been registered with Worli Police Station and an investigation has been launched in the matter.
The Mumbai Police received the threat messages on Thursday between 12:30 pm and 1:45 pm, sources reported, adding, the number from which the threat came was from India. It was learnt that the messages were deleted later

News reports stated that the Mumbai traffic police received a threat message demanding Rs 5 crore extortion money from the Bollywood actor. The threat was reportedly sent via WhatsApp to a Mumbai Traffic Police number, stating that if Khan wanted to resolve his longstanding feud with the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, he would have to pay the extortion amount.
The sender, suspected to be sent by someone linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warned that failure to comply could lead to dire consequences, allegedly 'worse than Baba Siddiqui' who was shot dead on October 12.
"A threatening message has been received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding Rs 5 crore from actor Salman Khan to end his long-stan
